Illinois Lumber and Material Dealer Association Educational Foundation Scholarship
$500-$1000 Scholarships
Scholarship Eligibility Requirements Any student who is enrolled full time in a certificate or degree program in an accredited trade school, 2-year junior college or 4-year college or university, and who is a resident of Illinois is eligible to apply for a scholarship. Students may apply each year, up to four years, While scholarship recipient selection will not be based solely on financial need, it may be taken into consideration. Children of the Foundation selection committee are not eligible
The following information needs to be submitted to the ILMDA Education Foundation:
A typed, signed statement of your general activities and interests, your activities and employment (if any), your educational background, your contemplated field of study and the career you expect to follow. (Statement should not exceed 1000 words in length and should be typed in a simple, concise form.
An outline of your proposed program of study to explain your intent to pursue a degree in lumber and building materials or an allied field.
Two Letters of Recommendation- both sent directly to the Foundation office- from a high school teacher and another person, preferably from the lumber and building industry.
Official copies of transcripts
All of this must be completed with a scholarship application form.
Scholarships can also be found in the counseling office.
