Illinois Heartland Chapter of the American Business Women's Association

Illinois Heartland Chapter of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA) is offering a $2000 scholarship through the Stephen Bufton Memorial Education (SBMEF).

To be eligible for consideration, candidates must be women who:

-U.S. Citizens

-Have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 of better on a 4.0 scale

-Will be a college freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate level in August 2017, and are attending or have been accepted at an accredited U.S. college or university authorized to confer a minimum of a baccalaureate degree.

The application will be completed online and requires a biographical sketch, three (3) professional letters of references, and an official transcript. Trustees of SBMEF serve as the selection board for the scholarship.

Applications due by March 31, 2017. The first 10 fully completed applications will be forwarded to the trustees for review. A minimum of 3 eligible applications is required to make the award.
