ASSE Foundation Academic Scholarships - Occupation Safety, Health, Environment
Award Program
Scholarship awards are for students majoring in occupational safety, health, and the environment. Applications are accepted September 1 through December 1 every year and must be submitted online. After applications are reviewed by the Foundation’s Scholarship Award & Selection Committee, awards are disbursed to recipients the following April. We are not accepting applications at this time. The 2017 program will begin accepting applications on September 1, 2016.
The ASSE Foundation exists to provide programs that advance the safety profession. We exist because safety matters - for workers, for families, and for the future of safety. The Academic Scholarship Program awards are for students majoring in occupational safety, health, and the environment. If your degree is not an OSH degree, it is your responsibility to make the case in your student narrative for why your studies are relevant to our mission of guiding the safety profession forward. In 2016 we will award more than $250,000 to OSH students and professionals through our scholarships and grants program.
You will be required to submit transcripts from every university you have attended.
You will be required to provide an academic letter of recommendation.
You will be required to fill out a short answer section.
You must have a 3.0 undergraduate GPA and (if applicable) a 3.5 graduate GPA.
Deadline for submitting the application is December 1, 2016 by 11:59 p.m. EST.
All applications will be reviewed by the ASSE Foundation Scholarship Award & Selection Committee. All applicants will be notified in April, 2017 concerning the status of their application.
