Currently, 1st Farm Credit Services partners with four universities in Illinois to offer scholarship to agriculture students. Each university selects the recipient.

1st Farm Credit Services partners with Illinois State University for the John Leatherbury Scholarship. The $1,500 scholarship is given to a student with an agriculture major, with consideration of academic performance. The $1,500 scholarship is given to a student with an agriculture major, with consideration of academic performance. The university selects the recipient.
