Illinois Heartland Chapter of the AWBA is offering a $2000 scholarship through the Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund (SBMEF).
To be eligible for consideration, candidates must be women who:
~are U.S. citizens
~have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale ~will be a college freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate level in August 2016, and are attending or have been accepted at an accredited U.S. college or university authorized to confer a minimum of a baccalaureate degree.
The application will be completed online and requires a biographical sketch, three (3) professional letters of reference, and an official transcript. Trustees of SBMEF serve as the selection board.

Note: Applications must be completed by March 31, 2016. The first ten (10) fully completed applications meeting eligibility requirements will be forwarded to the trustees for review. A minimum of three (3) eligible applications is required to make the award.
This is a one-time scholarshop and is not renewable. A check will be issued jointly to the educational instituion and the recipient. Fund use is limited to tuition, books, and fees.
