College/Career Month

The OHS Counseling Office was excited to kick off the month of October as the first annual College/Career Month at OHS. Mr. Castillo and Mrs. Steve have fun activities planned throughout the month as they want to spread the word about college and career readiness to all high school students. With our senior students nearing the end of their high school career, we urge all seniors to meet with their counselor to discuss plans after high school. As a reminder, the counseling office recommends seniors apply to 2-3 colleges by Halloween. In addition to the counselors, the Illinois Student Assistance Commission will be at OHS to meet with seniors about college/career planning every Friday in October. We urge all seniors to stop in to schedule this very important college/career appointment.
